We are going to try it out at Russell’s in NM in about 10 days with our fifth wheel. We have a 30 amp adapter so hope that works. Do you pay with a card?

    • February 14, 2017 at 8:57 am

Yes, you can pay with a credit card. The onsite payment kiosks at some locations are not working or don’t have a connection to the Internet, but you can always use our toll free number 24 hours per day, by calling 1-888-841-3137.

The 30 amp outlets are NEMA 14-30, which is the same as a household dryer outlet. They can be purchase at major hardware stores.

Bobby, Any outdoor extension cord will work but the best is the 12 gauge. Is your concern about thinking they do not have the right one because of the plug? If so you need a pigtail that you can purchase any RV store.

I am sorry, I have looked for a cord at hardware stores and they do not have any. I would like to know where I can purchase one. Do any of your sites have the cords there where you can purchase them. Please let me know if they do and where I can get one or how much would it be to get one from you and what site would I go to get it. I need a cord I cannot find one.

Extension cords should be available at most hardware stores including Home Depot and Lowe’s. Costco also usually stocks heavy duty extension cords. They are also available online from many different sources, such as We also carry them on our website: For best results, purchase a heavy duty cord that is 12 gauge or better. Depending on if you prefer to pull forward or back into parking spaces, you will need a 50 foot or 100 foot cord.

I was wondering if there are plans to be adding more sites in the Northeast and California areas?

This service is very beneficial to us at the moment because our generator is down and idling the truck is costly.

I figured on using your services driving my RV on east coast. Both Elkton MD and Pembroke NY would not function for 30 amp 120 v. I tried 3 stations in Pembroke. Both stops would be 10+ hr of use. Disappointed having to run generator. Lack of assistance in my situation was lost sales and would keep me from looking for your service in the future.

    • July 20, 2015 at 12:32 pm

Hi Greg, apologies for the service issues you experienced at Elkton and Pembroke. We are in the process of upgrading software and had issues at both sites recently. We are happy to provide you with some free Shorepower time if you find yourself at another one of our locations in the future. You can call me directly and I can hook you up for free. I just got a brand new Peterbilt that has shore power and the company is trying to find out all locations in the Northeast really locations from Arkansas north to the east coast and where can you buy the cord without order it online we are trying to find places where drivers can hook into it and do a 34 and keep the power and battery charge I was just hoping you would get back to me and let me know about places I can get the cord

    • July 20, 2015 at 12:30 pm

Hi Bobby, thanks for contacting Shorepower. You can download our locations in PDF here or you can look online with real time availability at You can purchase cords from any hardware supply – you just need a 12 gauge or heavier. Costco typically has some of the best prices on cords. Depending on what you are powering, you might also consider an adapter to take advantage of our 30A (travel trailer) outlets. Feel free to call me directly with questions. Alan – 503-810-7396
