Shorepower R & D

Shorepower R&D is the research and development unit of Shorepower Technologies. We are working on several new transportation technologies and projects in addition to Electrified Parking Spaces (EPS) that promise greater energy efficiency and cleaner air.  Shorepower R&D is demonstrating a hydraulic, hybrid regenerative braking system in a refuse truck application executed in conjunction with Bosch Rexroth Corporation.  Another project is evaluating Electric Trailer Refrigeration Units (eTRUs) that use grid power to cool refrigerated trailers, thereby reducing diesel fuel consumption and emissions. Shorepower is also demonstrating the promise of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) in a New York State funded project.
